BOXX Unveils New Dedicated Rendering Systems and Workstations at SIGGRAPH 2012

AUSTIN, TX -- (Marketwire) -- Aug 06, 2012 -- BOXX Technologies, the leading innovator of high-performance workstations and rendering systems, today announced that their newly redesigned renderPRO and upgraded renderBOXX will debut at SIGGRAPH 2012. Held at the Los Angeles Convention Center Aug. 7-9, SIGGRAPH is the premier event for computer graphics and interactive techniques. In addition to these rendering systems demonstrations, BOXX booth #1037 will showcase 3DBOXX workstations accompanied by representatives from Autodesk and Chaos Group.

"We understand the applications our customers employ to create, test, and modify their ideas," said Shoaib Mohammad, BOXX VP of Marketing and Business Development, "so our optimized configurations, using the latest Intel® processors and multiple NVIDIA GPUs, provide the best possible user experience when dealing with complex simulations, rendering, and ray tracing."

Featuring a new chassis, dual Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 series processors, and up to 16 processing cores, renderPRO is the world's first personal, dedicated rendering solution for 3D graphics, animation and compositing. Requiring no server room or IT personnel, the easily configurable renderPRO provides dedicated rendering at the desk side. renderPRO is joined by renderBOXX, the flagship of BOXX rendering solutions, which is also equipped with dual Intel Xeon E5-2600 series processors and up to 16 processing cores. Designed to deliver outstanding rendering performance for intensive 3D graphics and animation, ten renderBOXX modules comprise RenderFarm on Wheels, the BOXX turn-key render farm slated to demonstrate V-Ray® RT.

In addition to rendering, BOXX demos will also include 3DBOXX workstations (standard and XTREME editions) featuring NVIDIA Maximus technology. Adobe® CS®6 will be demonstrated on 3DBOXX 8920, a 16-core, Intel® Xeon® workstation designed to accommodate multi-threading, multiple applications, and complex production pipelines. 8920 includes additional memory and up to three NVIDIA GPUs -- ensuring faster performance for both CPU- and GPU-based rendering, simulation, and ray tracing tasks.

The world's most powerful single processor workstation, 3DBOXX 4920 XTREME, featuring an overclocked six core, Intel® Core™ i7 processor (up to 4.5 GHz), liquid cooling, and up to 4 NVIDIA GPUs, will be enlisted for Autodesk® Maya® and V-Ray® RT demos, while 3DBOXX 4050 XTREME (also 4.5 GHz) will demonstrate Autodesk® 3ds Max®.

"BOXX is committed to providing the world's fastest and most reliable workstations and rendering solutions," says Mohammad. "And at SIGGRAPH, we're offering users of 3ds Max, Maya, Adobe CS6, V-Ray and other software, an opportunity to experience how those applications are supposed to run."
