SCRA Receives Esri Silver Partnership Designation

New Software, AlastarTM, Utilizes Esri Geographic Information Systems

CHARLESTON, S.C. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — October 8, 2013 — SCRA, which produces the wide-area situational awareness Alastar software, has received the Esri Silver Partnership designation. Alastar was created to help public safety and emergency managers track resources and assets, identify threats and increase the speed and effectiveness of incident response.

Founded as Environmental Systems Research Institute, Esri helps organizations map and model software solutions. Esri’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology enables effective analysis and management of geographic information. Partner organizations are supported by an experienced and knowledgeable staff and an extensive network of partners and international distributors. Esri GIS is one of Alastar’s foundational components.

SCRA’s Alastar is a geospatial technology suite that provides enhanced situational awareness to deliver an all-inclusive, real-time situational awareness tool. It enables security personnel and first responders to fully assess their current environments and identify existing or emerging threats. Alastar makes available the information that safety officers and resource managers need - when and where they need it.

"We are delighted to receive this designation as it validates our software for this market," said SCRA CEO Bill Mahoney. "At SCRA, we believe in service to greater missions. With this designation as an Esri Silver Partner, we can further optimize technology to support homeland security and emergency services personnel."
