AGI join TSA, RICS and ICES as joint collaborators of GEO Business, the brand new geospatial event in the UK

The GEO Business team, are delighted to announce that the Association for Geographic Information (AGI), have come on board as a collaborator of the event taking place in London from 28-29 May 2014, joining other leading industry organisations including the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and The Survey Association (TSA).

The AGI exists to represent the interests of the UK's geographic information industry; a wide-ranging group of public and private sector organisations, suppliers of geographicaI software, hardware, data and services, consultants, academics and interested individuals. Since its formal inception in 1989, it has built up a significant membership base and established itself as the respected voice and membership body for everyone with an interest or involvement with geographical information.

Event Director Versha Carter commented on this recent exciting development, ‘We have been discussing with the AGI for some time how they could become involved with GEO Business and feel that their participation and commitment to the show adds another dimension ensuring that the whole geospatial community is catered for.  We very much look forward to working with the AGI and welcoming them to the Committee.’

Anne Kemp, Council Chair of the AGI comments,’ We whole heartedly support the GEO Business event and feel that our involvement will not only help to enhance the programme but it will also offer our members a platform from which to do business with the whole community .  I am looking forward to this event that will bring together the entire geospatial industry and by collaborating with other leading organisations like the TSA, RICS and ICES there will be a real sense of unity.’

GEO Business is a hands-on geospatial event that not only incorporates an international trade exhibition and a cutting edge conference, but also a programme of live workshops and demonstrations. It is an opportunity for manufacturers, suppliers and service providers to showcase their capabilities and solutions in this fast moving industry.  A current exhibitor list can be found at  http://geobusinessshow.com/exhibitor-list/ .
