Portal for ArcGIS, an Esri ArcGIS for Server extension helps your organization manage and share information via maps and apps using your own infrastructure, whether on-premises or in the cloud.

To streamline access to Portal for ArcGIS for authorized users, you can integrate your existing enterprise Windows accounts and configure single sign-on access to the portal. To learn how, tune in to the live training seminar Portal for ArcGIS: Leveraging Windows Single Sign-On for Your Organization on April 23, 2015.

During this one-hour seminar, the presenters will describe the Portal for ArcGIS security model and the various user authentication options, focusing on Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA). They will explain how you can configure Portal for ArcGIS to work seamlessly within your Windows domain. The presenters will also demonstrate how IWA provides a framework that makes the authentication process more efficient, eliminating the need for multiple user credentials.

After viewing the seminar, you will understand how to

  • Simplify access to Portal for ArcGIS using existing enterprise logins.
  • Configure your portal to use IWA.
  • Create and manage portal groups that use your organization's existing enterprise groups.
  • Extend single sign-on capabilities to an ArcGIS for Server site federated with Portal for ArcGIS.

ArcGIS for Server and web administrators; geographic information system (GIS) managers, analysts, and technicians; and others responsible for portal administration will find this seminar highly useful.

You will need a broadband Internet connection and an Esri Account to watch the live training seminar. Creating an Esri Account is easy and free: visit esri.com/lts, click Login at the top right, and register your name and e-mail address.
