Pluralsight Hosts Six-Week Summer Challenge to Help Users Build Tech Skills Through Online Training

Participants of Camp Pluralsight Will Have Access to More than 35 Free Courses, Plus Opportunity to Win Comic Con Vacation and Other Prizes

SALT LAKE CITY — (BUSINESS WIRE) — July 13, 2015 — Pluralsight, a global leader in online learning and assessment, today launched the first annual Camp Pluralsight, a six-week online camp with challenges, prizes and free training. Participants will have access to more than 35 free courses in development, IT ops and design from professional authors and industry experts.

“We have a dedicated community of learners within Pluralsight, and this will be a great way for them to build on their technical skills by exploring new courses and topics,” said Chad Utley, VP of Content at Pluralsight. “By offering access to quality content by our expert authors through Camp Pluralsight, we hope to excite our community, as well as bring the online learning experience to others looking to advance in their careers or simply develop their technical know-how.”

Starting today, participants can register on the Camp Pluralsight homepage. The free courses offered will include topics such as C#, JavaScript, virtualization, ethical hacking, PowerShell, system administration, InDesign and Photoshop.

Camp participants will be given weekly challenges, which upon completion will make them eligible for weekly prizes such as an Apple Watch, Alienware gaming desktop, Sharp smart TV and Xbox One, among others. Challenges include watching specific courses and content, discussing Camp Pluralsight via social media and participating in an on-demand webinar.

Those who complete at least two challenges over the course of the six-week camp will be entered to win grand prizes, such as a two-year Plus subscription to Pluralsight and a three-day VIP trip to the new Silicon Valley Comic Con. All registrants will also receive an offer for a discounted Pluralsight subscription once the camp ends.

Camp Pluralsight’s launch comes on the heels of a booming growth period for the company, which has raised nearly $170 million since 2013 to rapidly expand its course offerings, expert author base and international reach in its continued effort to democratize professional learning. With more than 800 expert authors creating original content for a community of nearly one million remote learners, Pluralsight enables developers, IT specialists, creative professionals and others in technical fields to develop in-demand skills needed to secure employment in today’s market.
