CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 25, 2016 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Anvil's Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a user-friendly 3D printer has raised over $86K, putting the project just under $14K away from its funding goal with 16 days left in the campaign. The Anvil team recently announced that third-party filament cartridges, heated beds, Polylactic Acid (PLA) filament and spare hot ends will now be available for pre-order as well on Kickstarter.

Anvil's lego-like software can run on tablets with Windows and iOS software, and more advanced users can use PC Client or upload files to the cloud server to use existing G-codes to print. Anvil also conveniently allows individuals to use their own filament with Anvil's specially-designed cartridges for third-party filaments. The 3D printer works with all kinds of PLA materials, including multi-color, wood-like PLA, flexible black PLA, multi-color ABS and white PC.

"Beginners aren't the only ones who can take advantage of Anvil's user-friendly features," said Anvil technology spokesperson Tom Sun. "Kids and even those who have more advanced printing skills can utilize all that Anvil has to offer. After the campaign is over, we plan on continuing to expand our line of products for all users, while expanding on the features that we have now and making them even better."

Anvil's printing process is almost completely automated and Wi-Fi based so that users can print from anywhere in the world as long as they have an internet connection. The printer contains one single button to help avoid any user confusion and also makes print removal easier by relying on three pillars, instead of four. Anvil also offers a massive library of models and kits that anyone can use and modify for 3D printing.

Anvil offers a variety of different color options, and add-ons are now available. Supporters of the campaign can pre-order Anvil on Kickstarter for $229, which is over $120 off the future retail price. For an additional $10, backers can get a third-party filament cartridge and an extra $28 can get them a heated bed. For more information about Anvil, visit http://bit.ly/AnvilKS.
