GreenSoft Launches Hosted GDM for Online Compliance Data Management

Pasadena, CA, January 10, 2017 – GreenSoft Technology, Inc., a leading provider of environmental compliance data services and software, has launched Hosted GDM, a new edition of GreenData Manager (GDM) software.

Hosted GDM is an online software tool to help electronics and electrical equipment manufacturers manage and report on substance data for their products and components. Hosted GDM is designed for companies that need to show compliance with environmental regulations such as EU RoHS-2, REACH SVHC, Conflict Minerals, and other global compliance regulations.

The main change in Hosted GDM that separates it from other GDM editions is that with Hosted GDM the software, BOM data, and component compliance database are all hosted by GreenSoft on an online virtual server, and GreenSoft performs the technical administration.

Customers can access Hosted GDM from anywhere in the world through an Internet connection. This makes Hosted GDM ideal for companies with multiple users needing to share a database across multiple locations, and for companies that want to skip the technical administration hassles.

Hosted GDM customers benefit from letting GreenSoft handle the technical administration of the software. GreenSoft performs software installation, implementation and maintenance for Hosted GDM customers, so that the customers don’t have to.

With Hosted GDM, customers will always be working with accurate, high quality data collected and verified by GreenSoft’s data collection team. GreenSoft’s team will contact the customer’s supply chain to obtain compliance information for each affected component used in the customer’s affected products. GreenSoft’s team then validates this information for accuracy and follows-up with suppliers when needed for clarification and corrections. This data is then uploaded into the customer’s database for access through Hosted GDM.

Hosted GDM is ideal for companies that permit a BOM to be uploaded to an online virtual server, while the existing GDM Browser Edition is ideal for companies with security policies that do not permit uploading a BOM to any web applications.

Like all editions of GreenData Manager software, Hosted GDM has easy-to-use features that allow customers to, among other things, report the completeness status on collected data or documents, report the compliance status on all parts or BOMs, generate compliance reports for over 25 built-in regulations or for custom user-defined rules, import compliance data in multiple formats, and schedule the generation of compliance reports.

Hosted GDM software comes with two hours of personalized training, online updates to changes in regulations or substances data, and access to the GreenSoft Customer Support Center.

GreenSoft is offering a free Risk Analysis and BOM Scrub to companies that request a demo of Hosted GDM software. More information can be found at http://greensofttech.com/site/software/hostedgdm.
