New Application Note Describes How to Optimize the OCW Coffee Can Radar Design Using NI AWR Software

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – May 17, 2017 -- A new NI AWR Design Environment application note describes how the original design of a simple coffee-can radar from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) OpenCourseWare (OCW) online course was redesigned and optimized using the system, circuit and electromagnetic (EM) analysis capabilities of NI AWR software. The redesign was done using Visual System Simulator™ (VSS) system-level design software and AXIEM and Analyst™ EM simulators such that the “re-caffeinated” radar system delivers better performance, is less expensive to make and has a smaller footprint than the original system.
