EDDR Software Releases oaFileParser as Open Source Tool for Verifying and Parsing Design Data from EDA Files

Austin, TX - June 21, 2017 - EDDR Software, a software company specializing in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) solutions, announced today the launch of oaFileParser. Interoperable access to design data is a fundamental right of the customer and the EDA industry as a whole, thus providing a new way to access this data gives customers an unobstructed capacity that other file formats have possessed for years.

This project is a new open source tool for the EDA community to help verify and expose design data from OpenAccess file types including .oa, .dm, and tech.db files. The library is intended for developers to implement a solution using this as a starting point.

The licensed project provides free use under the MIT License. This license is a short and simple permissive license with conditions only requiring preservation of copyright and license notices. Licensed works, modifications, and larger works may be distributed under different terms and without source code.

This tool uses C++ as its programming language. If you or your company would like to participate in this project, please email us at Email Contact. Check out the new tool at https://github.com/EDDRSoftware/oaFileParser.

EDDR Software is exhibiting at the Design Automation Conference, June 18-22 in Austin, Texas. Come by and have one of EDDRS’ staff demo the oaFileParser for you at booth 1521.
