Premiere of the EUROPEAN DRONE SUMMIT on 15 October in Frankfurt a.M.

Europe's most important drone conference 2018 discusses new industrial applications with drones

Frankfurt a.M./ Karlsruhe 10.10.2018 --  More and more companies are becoming active in the UAV sector. In recent years, a real market has developed here, where a wide variety of platforms with specific applications are made available. Experts see enormous development potential for unmanned aerial vehicles in industrial applications and in remote inspection. The European Commission has announced that it will adapt its aviation regulations accordingly before the end of this year.

The European dimension of the development of applications and their legal framework with drones will be discussed at the EUROPEAN DRONE SUMMIT (EDS2018) on 15 October 2018 in Frankfurt a.M., one day before the leading European trade fair INTERAERIAL SOLUTIONS part of INTERGEO. The EDS2018 takes place for the first time as Europe's most important drone conference in 2018 on the initiative of the UAV DACH e.V. – Unmanned Aviation Association and is organised in cooperation with the HINTE Expo and Conference.

The premiere of the international conference will discuss the opportunities and possibilities of the upcoming regulations with representatives of politics and leading companies. Martin Brandenburg, Managing Director, DJI EMEA and Joe Schamuhn, COO Yuneec as well as Jana Rosenmann, Head of Unmanned Aerial Systems, Airbus and the CTO of AIRMAP, Andreas Lamprecht, have announced their intention to attend. They will comment on how, in their opinion, the market for services with drones will develop from 2019. Contributions will be made by Claudia Schmidt, Member of the European Parliament from Austria and Patrick Gandil, Director General, DGAC from France. The speech by Koen de Vos, Policy Officer of the European Commission, is expected with particular excitement. A special focus of this year's conference will be on inspection and surveying, logistics and air transport, security and defence as well as air traffic control for unmanned aerial vehicles.

In the context of the EDS2018, DJI announces a special industrial application in the construction sector, which opens up new possibilities in surveying with drones. Press representatives are cordially invited to attend the EUROPEAN DRONE SUMMIT.

The conference is aimed at political representatives, manufacturers and operators of drones, representatives of municipalities, industry and energy providers as well as service providers for and with drones. The UAV DACH e.V. invites up to five startups of the industry to participate in the conference free of charge. Interested parties can register by email at Email Contact.
