Cadence workshop to feature new CurvyCore infrastructure for Virtuoso custom IC design platform

(NASDAQ: CDNS) announced its Photonics Summit and Workshop with Lumerical, where attendees can explore how photonics impacts daily life and is advancing industries such as medicine, energy, security, defense, telecommunications, high-performance computing and manufacturing. This free, two-day event taking place on November 7 and 8 at the Cadence headquarters in San Jose, Calif., will feature presentations from industry experts on day one and a hands-on workshop with photonics experts on day two. At the workshop, Cadence will debut its new CurvyCore infrastructure that is integrated into the Cadence® Virtuoso® custom IC design platform, allowing designers to create and edit complex curvilinear shapes common in photonics, MEMs, microfluidics and conformal metal routing. Integration of the CurvyCore technology into the Virtuoso platform contributes a single design environment for developing complex multi-fabric systems.
