PORTLAND, OR.; January 15, 2019 — Ticco ( go-ticco.co) a professional networking platform for next generation AEC professionals, has officially opened applications for people who utilize their careers to positively shape cities. Targeting Millennials and members of Generation Z, who would like a platform for sharing smart design ideas or may even be looking to make a career move, Ticco will bring together some of today’s brightest emerging professionals in architecture, planning, engineering, preservation and other related disciplines.

Developed by Katie Rispoli Keaotamai over the past year and a half, Ticco aims “to increase awareness of what the next generation brings to the table, reduce the divide between AEC professions, and respond to the demand for a 21st-century style of professional development.” Ticco will admit professionals with 2 to 15 years of experience, while championing the needs of the AEC industry’s most diverse generation.

Beginning January 15th, interested individuals may take the first step and apply to join Ticco. In April, Ticco’s first members will be selected according to pre-determined guidelines developed by a national advisory council of practicing experts. A community in the making, Ticco members will pay a monthly membership fee (31% less than the average fee paid by early-career professionals for professional memberships), giving them access to a custom-built social network. Admitted members are not required to join, however founding members will be instrumental in using the platform and advising on its further advance between April and the official launch this Fall.

Katie Rispoli Keaotamai adds, “On Ticco, professionals who positively build and shape cities will interact when they want to, and not just when they have to. Ticco has the potential to change the way we as AEC professionals understand one another, initiate working relationships, and approach problems in the built environment.”
