Budapest, May 29 - Dominik Dreiner’s design of the new headquarters of the Metal and Electrical Industry Association, in Heilbronn, Germany has been awarded the first prize of the AAA Austrian Architecture Award 2008

The award was organized by Messe Wels and the Austrian Architectural Association. “The building’s placement in the natural environment, and the interplay of light and color between the metallic framework and the expansive glass surfaces in front of the white cubes, lend the structure great vivacity and quality despite its size and austerity”, said the jury. The 76-meter long and 18.5-meter wide cube structure stands free in the landscape at the edge of a park. Its glass façade creates an interesting and exciting interplay between light and color and the inner and outer spaces.
