Richmond, VA – October 14, 2009 –Timmons Group, a leader in geospatial and engineering consulting services, has been selected to provide GIS strategic and implementation planning services for Fort A.P. Hill, a Virginia-based regional training center that provides realistic joint and combined arms training support to America's defense forces.
This project was awarded as a subcontract by Paciulli, Simmons & Associates, Ltd., a firm that has been delivering quality consulting services to both public and private sector clients for over 260 years. This subcontract enables Timmons Group to provide strategic and implementation planning consulting services for the development of an innovative Enterprise GIS solution at Fort A.P. Hill.
“The Enterprise GIS Strategic Plan will serve to guide GIS development and leverage the installation’s current GIS investment,” said Lowell Ballard, Sector Leader for Timmons Group’s Technology Services. “Our extensive experience in GIS planning and implementation across utilities/public works, emergency management, environmental and planning disciplines will enable us to develop an Enterprise GIS Strategic Plan to achieve a garrison-wide GIS model and a multi-year GIS implementation”.
