LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7 — (PRNewswire) — CES 2010 -- Sonic Solutions® (Nasdaq: SNIC) today announced the availability of the Roxio CinemaNow™ entertainment platform on the Next Generation Tegra™ mobile web processor. Tegra, which now supports the Android operating system, delivers the complete web experience on a broad range of handheld and mobile devices, including tablets, smart phones, portable media players, and mobile internet devices. The inclusion of Roxio CinemaNow in NVIDIA's reference platform adds to the variety of advanced multimedia services available to device manufacturers that can now use Tegra to deliver instant access to a wide catalog of premium digital entertainment. The Roxio CinemaNow platform is being demonstrated by invitation at the Renaissance Hotel, Chairman Room, as part of the Consumer Electronics Show, January 7-10, 2010.

"The combination of Roxio CinemaNow and Tegra will bring the latest in digital entertainment to an exciting variety of new-generation devices and tablets," said Neil Trevett, vice president, mobile content at NVIDIA. "NVIDIA is working closely with Sonic to provide highly tuned acceleration for Roxio CinemaNow to bring a true HD experience to the Android platform. The outstanding capabilities of Tegra will enable CinemaNow's awesome content library whenever and wherever our customers want."

The Roxio CinemaNow entertainment platform serves a broad range of premium content to a growing, multi-manufacturer ecosystem of home and mobile electronics including PCs, connected TVs, set-top DVRs, Blu-ray Disc players, smart phones and mobile media devices. The platform enables retailers and consumer electronics companies to participate in the entertainment supply chain, add value to product offerings and form ongoing relationships with customers. Roxio CinemaNow-powered stores enable consumers to instantly rent and purchase high-quality entertainment on their favorite device and, through CinemaNow online movie storage, the flexibility to playback content ordered on additional consumer electronics devices.
