Madison County Utility District Begins the Implementation of GIS Using SDImaps

LOUISVILLE, Ky., July 20, 2011 - Madison County Utility District, located in Richmond, Kentucky has purchased GIS software from Spatial Data Integrations, Inc. (SDI) to begin implementation of a GIS program at the utility. The software, SDImaps, is a mapping software specifically designed for, and tailored to, the utility industry. SDI will also provide training services and basemap data to assist with the GIS implementation.

SDImaps is specifically designed for the utility industry and is intended to give the power of GIS to users with all levels of computer experience.  The software enables users to better manage infrastructure assets and create an accurate, up-to-date system map without having to know GIS theory or database design and administration. SDImaps is an extension of ArcGIS software, a product of GIS industry leader, ESRI.
