Avineon Appoints James E. Smith Senior Vice President - Federal Business Development

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 13, 2011 — (PRNewswire) — Avineon, Inc., a successful provider of information technology, geospatial, engineering support, and program management services, today announced the appointment of James E. Smith as Senior Vice President – Federal Business Development.

Mr. Smith has over twenty years of experience in marketing, sales, and strategic planning with a focus on federal government programs. His background includes information technology support services (including cyber security), telecommunications services, software development, administrative services, facilities management, and program management. At Avineon, he will lead the business development team in tailoring technical solutions to better serve federal civilian, defense, and homeland security agencies.
