eyeon Fusion New Pipeline For ToonBox Entertainment

Toronto, Canada: September 28, 2011 … ToonBox Entertainment, a Toronto-based international production studio specializing in CG Stereoscopic content for film, television, and interactive media, convert their compositing pipeline to Fusion.

eyeon Software has always had a technologically progressive client roster. ToonBox, producers of one of the world’s first 3D stereoscopic animated series, Gemini-nominated Bolts & Blip, are an exact fit with eyeon’s technology. Fusion artists have always benefitted from eyeon’s client-driven developments. ToonBox’s unique production style is certain to advance the innovative process.

“Here at ToonBox Entertainment, we have been charged with many unique challenges in the course of building a new animation studio. Choosing a cost effective compositing solution has been one such challenge.  Our compositing software needed to integrate with our highly proprietary pipeline. It also had to meet the same price-performance requirements that are necessary for all the third-party software being used in the studio. eyeon Fusion has been really successful on all fronts.

The eyeon team is extremely supportive and has shown a great deal of collaboration as we move forward with "The Nut Job".

~ Andrew McPhillips, CG Supervisor, ToonBox Entertainment

With Fusion’s OpenCL- and GPU-accelerated architecture and forward-thinking customers like ToonBox and Uncharted Territory, eyeon accesses real working environments to reach new levels of film making. eyeon’s new Deep Compositing direction is the demarcation point of strategic development. For example, Fusion’s Stereoscopic, Volumetric Fog and Water, and World Position Pass tools have opened the door to advanced technical production.

“We’ve seen a strong push for facilities to reconcile their artistry with efficient processes. Everyone wants to do it smarter and faster. We look forward to working with ToonBox and delivering the technical resources they need to support their creativity.”

~ Steve Roberts, CEO, eyeon Software Inc.
