Common Core State Standards Require Upgraded Teaching Methods

Eye On Education recognizes the widespread frustration educators are experiencing regarding the Common Core State Standards and has developed a unique program to help educators meet and exceed them. Common Core Made Easy, at Eye On School Success: An Online Conference, is a series of four, one-hour webinars designed to provide educators with insight and new ideas on how to understand and implement the CCSS.

LARCHMONT, N.Y., March 5, 2012 — (PRNewswire) — As more states adopt the Common Core State Standards, teachers are looking for effective ways to address the standards in their classrooms. With this in mind, Eye On Education has created Common Core Made Easy, at Eye On School Success: An Online Conference. This series of four, one-hour webinars will provide educators with insight and new ideas on how to understand and implement the CCSS.

"Our Common Core experts will provide practical, use-the-next-day tips and strategies for increasing rigor, teaching writing with technology, raising the level of class discussions, and more," says Lauren Davis, author of the popular white paper " 5 Things Every Teacher Should be Doing to Meet the Common Core State Standards."

Common Core in the Cloud, with Vicki Davis, will show teachers how to "use technology to produce writing and to collaborate with others," as the standards require. Using Seminars for 21st Century Literacy, with Terry Roberts, will help educators teach students to refer to the text and transition from discussion to writing. CCSS… Only the Beginning, with Barbara Blackburn, will provide rigorous strategies that can be incorporated immediately across content areas, grades, and subjects. Eye On School Success will end with an interactive Q&A session which will address educators' tough questions about the standards.
