DTS Develops TransVue; the First Comprehensive Suite of Transportation Planning and Management Focused Applications.

Release of cutting-edge software offers transportation industry game-changing technology solution.

ORLANDO– July 18, 2012 –  TransVUETM is the first comprehensive suite of software focused on the complete transportation planning life cycle and carries through after design into asset management focused applications. This suite is completely modular and customizable recognizing the needs of no two transportation organizations are

identical.  The software modules support the entire transportation life cycle from long-range planning through environmental review and permitting to design, and picking up at operations and maintenance.  Specifically, the software modules support Long-Range Planning, Environmental Management and Permitting, Transportation Improvement Programs (MPO, district/region and state levels (STIP)), Communication/Coordination Tools, Document Management, Approval Tracking, Straight Line Diagramming, Traffic Information, Videologs, and Asset & Work Order Management.

In the transportation arena, there are many software systems that address pieces or parts of the transportation life cycle.  Because they are singularly focused, they are very difficult to integrate and do not easily communicate with each other.  The Transportation Planning and Asset Management processes however are integrated and they require the coordinated effort of administrators, planners, environmentalists, engineers, GIS professionals, modelers, etc. – all of whom need varying types of information,  reports, dashboards, etc. to provide input and direction into the process. TransVUETM is a suite of integrated products that facilities the process, not just one element of it.

"Our system is straightforward, user friendly, very powerful, yet logical and flexible at the same time." Says Allen Ibaugh, a certified transportation planner, GIS professional and CEO of Data Transfer Solutions. “It allows transportation professionals access to the information they need and the insight into the process that makes for a more efficient process and ultimately better transportation decisions.”

Two of the largest impediments in the transportation process are time and money.  TransVUETM
will save both.  Through early interagency coordination, project issues can be identified early in the
process.  This provides three immediate benefits:

  1. Fatally flawed projects can be removed

  2. Asset condition, risk, and capital budgeting can be tracked and

  3. Other issues can be mitigated as the process continues.

A lot of the expense associated with transportation actions is the result of finding out some human or physical environment issue late in the process.  TransVUETM will avoid that.

The DTS team that developed TransVUETM, is an eclectic mix of transportation planners (AICP), geographers (GISP), engineers (PE), business process analysts, program/project managers (PMP), NEPA
experts, surveyors (PLS), other SMEs, software architects, developers, trainers and support personnel.

For 8 years, DTS has been involved in the highly competitive asset management, geographic information systems, and transportation planning industry as it has changed rapidly and steadily. During that time, the company has been able to adjust to the countless fluctuations and changes in the industry and has helped otherstransform the manner in which they do business.
