Tanner EDA at DAC 2013: 25 Years of Driving Innovation for Analog and Mixed-Signal Designers

Open Access plus top-notch features and functionality, integration with leading vendors, delivers solutions squarely
aligned with designer needs

MONROVIA, California – May 21, 2013 – Tanner EDA, the catalyst for innovation for the design, layout and
verification of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs), brings its focus on open innovation to the 50th
Design Automation Conference ( DAC) in Austin from June 3-5, 2013.

Demonstrations

Building on the company’s 25-year heritage of providing industry-leading price-performance and interoperability, Tanner EDA and its ecosystem of partners has added greater flexibility to Tanner EDA solutions.  HiPer Silicon v16, Tanner EDA’s full-flow design suite with OpenAccess, provides users with unprecedented PDK and EDA tool interoperability and enhanced capabilities for both front-end and back-end design.Integration with Aldec’s Riviera-PRO™ mixed language digital simulator, Berkeley Design Automation’s Analog FastSPICE Platform, and Incentia’s DesignCraft ™ and TimeCraft™ digital design tools provides users with a wider choice of functionality to focus on their specific design flows.

HiPer Silicon will be demonstrated on the DAC floor in the ARM Connected Community pavilion, booth #921, and in Tanner EDA’s booth, #2442.

Presentations

Along with partners Aldec and Incentia, Tanner EDA will give a poster presentation on An Ecosystem Approach for Efficient and Productive A/MS Design on the exhibit floor in Hall 5 between 12:30-1:30pm on Wednesday. Jeff Miller and John Zuk of Tanner EDA will discuss the features and benefits of this tool suite along with contributing authors Al Lipinski of Incentia Design Systems and Dmitry Melnik and David Rinehart of Aldec, Inc. For additional information, please see: http://www.dac.com/conference+program+designer+track.aspx?event=511&topic=7 (Session 7.21).

ARM Connected Community Pavilion

In Booth #921, Tanner EDA will demonstrate how HiPer Silicon offers designers a complete analog and mixed-signal
design flow from digital (HDL) and analog (Spice, Verilog-A) electrical design and simulation, through synthesis to physical layout and verification. At 9:45am on Monday, June 3, Jeff Miller, mixed-signal product manager from Tanner EDA, will present “Productive A/MS Design Enablement for ARM-Based Systems.”

Sponsorship – IPL Alliance Dinner

Tanner EDA is proud once again to participate as a sponsor of the IPL Alliance dinner. Scheduled for Tuesday evening, June 4, from 6-7:30pm at the Austin Hilton Hotel, in Grand Ballroom G, this event focuses on interoperable PDKs. Attendance at the dinner is free – but registration is required. Please click here to reserve your seat.

About Tanner EDA

Tanner EDA provides a complete line of software solutions that drive innovation for the design, layout and verification of analog and mixed-signal (A/MS) integrated circuits (ICs) and MEMS. Customers are creating breakthrough applications in areas such as power management, displays and imaging, automotive, consumer electronics, life sciences, and RF devices. A low learning curve, high interoperability, and a powerful user interface improve design team productivity and enable a low total cost of ownership (TCO). Capability and performance are matched by low support requirements and high support capability as well as an ecosystem of partners that bring advanced capabilities to A/MS designs.
