Director Long and NGA to attend 10th annual GEOINT Symposium

SPRINGFIELD, Va. , April 11, 2014 — The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s director, Letitia A. Long, will deliver a keynote speech at the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation's GEOINT 2013* Symposium being held at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Fla., April 14-17.

Long will be delivering her keynote on Tues, Apr.15 at 9:45 a.m. titled, “Driving the Next Phase of Intelligence.” Her speech will highlight how NGA is building a platform for integration that will create a new, immersive experience across the intelligence and defense communities that allows the nation to know what we should know, see what our adversaries cannot and act first.

Other NGA experts will also participate in presentation and panel discussions throughout the week-long symposium. Agency subject matter experts will discuss research and technology, open IT, Map of the World, Activity Based Intelligence and small business opportunities in defense and intelligence, among other topics. At NGA’s booth (#4091) in the Government Pavilion, agency staff will be on hand to demonstrate and showcase innovative geospatial intelligence capabilities and initiatives that put the power of GEOINT in the hands of users. The exhibit hall opens April 15, 2 p.m. and closes April 17, at 6 p.m.
