TD Forests "Art for Trees" Artwork to be Auctioned, Proceeds Going to New York City Environmental Non-Profits

NEW YORK, Oct. 23, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —  On October 31, the 10 original pieces of environment-focused artwork commissioned as a part of TD Bank's "TD Forests: Art for Trees" campaign will become available for purchase in an online auction. Following the close of the auction on November 14, all proceeds raised will be donated to four New York City environmental non-profits.

Those interested in purchasing the artwork can view all of the pieces and prices online now. There will also be an option for collectors to buy the artwork immediately at full value.

All proceeds from the sale of the original art will be equally distributed amongst the New York Restoration Project, Friends of the High Line, Brooklyn Botanic Garden and Trees New York.

Replicas of the artwork are currently on display in the windows of more than 100 TD Bank Stores throughout the five boroughs. Additionally, the original artwork will be on display this month at the following pop-up galleries:

  1. The 14th Street Passage of the High Line on October 24, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  2. New York Restoration Project's (NYRP) annual masquerade ball, Hulaween, on October 31 during the opening cocktail hour

The 10 artists who donated original pieces of art to "Art for Trees," include Federico HerreroSharon HarperDustin YellinIvan StojakovicEileen NeffPhilippa LawrenceClara FialhoKathleen VanceElizabeth Whalley and Julie Goldstein.

The original pieces were also on display for the public in a pop-up gallery in Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Station earlier this month.
