Large Majority of Americans Believe Companies Should Do More To Publicly Recognize Individual Employees for Good Work

New Consumer Survey by Goodsnitch Reveals Impact of Positive, Negative Business Feedback on Purchasing Decisions and Brand Perceptions

SAN DIEGO, June 1, 2015 — (PRNewswire) — An overwhelming majority of consumers believe businesses need to better leverage online feedback to improve the customer experience, according to a new survey released today by Goodsnitch. Nearly nine in 10 Americans (89 percent) believe companies should leverage both negative and positive customer feedback to optimize their products and services; and 86 percent think companies should regularly do more to publicly recognize individual employees for good work.

The survey, which polled more than 2,500 Americans 18 years of age and older, examined consumers' perceptions of online feedback and reviews for businesses' products and services. Findings offer valuable insight into the impact both negative and positive feedback have on consumers' purchasing decisions and brand perceptions.

"It is encouraging to see that recognizing good employees is top of mind for the vast majority of consumers," said Rob Pace, founder of Goodsnitch. "Businesses have the opportunity to use consumer feedback and recognition to improve products and services as well as strengthen employee morale and organizational cultures."
