Flow Exhibits New, Technologically Advanced Waterjet Solutions at IMTS 2016

KENT, Wash., Aug 31, 2016 – Flow International Corporation, the world's leading developer and manufacturer of ultrahigh-pressure waterjet machines for cutting applications, will showcase leading edge waterjet cutting technology at IMTS 2016, in booth N-6217. The tradeshow will be held September 12-17, 2016 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. Featured technology will include XY cutting systems, robotic solutions and expanded software solutions, all designed specifically for precision waterjet cutting and fabricating. Four complete systems will be on display addressing the wide-ranging needs of fabricators, machinists, and designers of highly engineered products.

Flow will debut multiple new technologies at IMTS including NanoJet™, a highly accurate, small-format machining center; a new, 6-axis waterjet robotic machining center; the first of our next generation XY systems with 5-axis cutting capabilities; and the Mach 4c with the latest in 3D model-based waterjet programming, contour following, and rotary indexing.

“This year, we are introducing more new products, innovative technologies and service offerings at IMTS than ever before,” said David Savage, chief executive officer of Shape Technologies Group, parent company to Flow. “The range of products and services on display shows the breadth of our unique capabilities: from standard cutting machines for fabrication and machining, to full manufacturing solutions for our customers facing the challenges of today’s advanced materials.  The ability to match the right solution to customers of varying sizes and industries further solidifies our position as the leader of ultrahigh-pressure process technology.”

Flow will debut a number of new and innovative service solutions at IMTS to help customers be more productive while lowering their operating and labor costs, including: new preventative maintenance plans to maximize uptime, part programming services for when workload exceeds programmer’s capacity, and part optimization services to optimize throughput of high volume parts.

“Our end-goal is to provide the ideal service solution,” says Andrew Ross, director of aftermarket. “That means providing a wide array of support options to meet each customers’ specific needs. Our new service offerings are designed to give our customers maximum uptime and productivity, while reducing demands on their staff.”
Application specialists will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate how Flow’s waterjet technology, software, and service partnership provides customers the most robust solution for fast and highly accurate waterjet cutting.
