Intel Transforms 'Project Runway' Finale into Virtual Reality Experience with VOKE

Dec 19, 2016 -- Intel's virtual reality technology, VOKE VR, is giving people an opportunity to experience the highly anticipated 15th season finale runway show of "Project Runway" in immersive virtual reality.

Viewers can watch the finale in virtual reality with a Samsung Gear VR headset by downloading the Voke VR app from the Oculus Store or with Google Cardboard by downloading Lifetime's iOS and Android apps, and selecting the "Google Cardboard" feature. The finale will also be available as video-on-demand content in both the Voke VR and Lifetime apps. Additionally, there will be a customizable viewing experiences on PCs via the Lifetime website, where viewers can choose their preferred point of view as well as pan around for a 180-degree view of the show.

Intel is helping brands unleash creativity and allow consumers to experience new levels of personalization with the convergence of fashion and technology. As the official technology partner of New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017, Intel transported viewers from their couches to the front rows of select runway shows in live VOKE VR broadcasts.

Actress and singer Zendaya will join Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia, Zac Posen and Tim Gunn on the runway as the guest judge for the celebratory finale show. The winner of season 15 will be named during Part 2 of the finale, airing at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, on Lifetime.
