The Palm Springs Comic XPO Draws Thousands of Attendees to the City's Annual Comic Book Convention

Palm Springs celebrates the arrival of the highly anticipated "PS Comic XPO" comic exhibition featuring celebrity guests, exclusive first-Looks and comic book fandom, June 22nd-24th, 2018 at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

LOS ANGELES, June 21, 2018 — (PRNewswire) —

LOS ANGELES, June 21, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Palm Springs Comic XPO and its legion of dedicated comic enthusiasts join the ranks of comic-book convention history this weekend as thousands descend on the picturesque landscape of Palm Springs California.

It was one year ago PS Comic XPO Convention Creator and Executive Producer Meachele Campbell sat outside the Palm Springs Convention Center dreaming up and scratching down conceptual ideas on a napkin. Twelve months later, her grandiose vision of hosting a fandom driven, celebrity-infused, comic convention will materialize at the 2018 Palm Springs Comic XPO June 22nd-24th.

Officially launched just three short months ago, the XPO and its whole world of science fiction, fantasy, anime, and video games, offers something unique for all ages and demographics. "I wanted to give the Palm Springs community an event that everyone could enjoy," Campbell said. "Our convention is affordable for people with a calendar of activities to keep fans entertained for two days straight."

Campbell, a longtime resident of Palm Springs, fashioned the framework of the XPO's comic book presence around the widely successful "San Diego Comic Con." Through infrastructure modification that implements a non-traditional convention strategy, attendees are allowed an overall more intimate experience. Campbell's approach has paid off, posting record sales in VIP tickets and photo opportunities.

Even the XPO's daily curriculum of curated Celebrity guests, panels, vending partners, artists, and exhibits highlight a higher level of attributes that differ from other comic conventions. This organizational benefit was learned by Campbell while producing previous exhibitions around the country.

Talent includes: Ray Park (Star Wars, X-Men, GI Joe), Daniel Bernhardt (Matrix, Altered Carbon, John Wick), Ray Stevenson (Rome, Thor, Black Sails), Brando Eaton (Dexter, Secret Life, MTV's Awkward), C. Thomas Howell (Outsiders, Red Dawn, ET.), Janeshia Adams-Ginyard (Black Panther, Avengers), legendary video game Director Keith Arem (Call of Duty, TitanFall, Spiderman), Cosplay superstar Nicole Marie Jean and more. Additionally, guests will enjoy a showcase of more than 130 vendors to appease the most ardent geek tyrant.
