you can get world-machine 2 basic - free edition unlimited (fully functional) from world-machine website.The limits of the basic version is the terrains resolution which goes up to 513x513 (normal use 512x512).The comercial version can go up to higher resolution.A free scuplting program is Sculptris but you don't need it as a beginner.For terrains there is also a terragen 3 free more …

Thanks again. I have a very old version of terragen (free version) but have never used it. The other 2 you mention I don't have, only Bryce. I have downloaded your other terrains for Bryce. I have quite some western buildings and props and can use one of your terrains for this purpose, maybe your Desert terrain for its sand effect.

Hi Laura, well, 90% of my scenes are with custom terrains made by me specially for a specific scene. I meant if you need a specially created terrain but i guess you'll find lots of terrains on my posts and more will come, stay close.About tutorial how to create amazing terrains i will make one but my terrains are made using mudbox,world machine and very rare terragen and bryce mostly to more …

Hi Cris, thanks for your reply. The tutor is somewhere on a disk of mine but I still have to try it. You refer here about a custom terrain in your comment below. Can you share such a custom terrain or do you have a tutorial to make your own? I am still at the starter (learning) stages! lol :))

Cris, thank you! I want to do a snow scene in Bryce and this will work greatly together with some nice Photoshop snow and icicle brushes I have, to add on the final render! I have somewhere a tutorial by David Brinnen for snow in Bryce but haven't follow those steps yet. :) Laura
