 Nudity is a sign of honesty and guilelessness, symbolic of being secure in oneself.  The ewers represent you as energy and potential and the water is purification, hope  and the renewal of the life circle.  The right hand pours out creativity and contains conscious thought. The left hand pours out order and structure. It contains unconscious thought.  As with Temperance, the woman has one foot on the ground, representing common sense and the other in the water representing her intuition.

The bird is an ibis, symbolic of thought.  The stars are eight-pointed, alluding to the compass rose. The seven small stars also represent the seven centres of spiritual power of the body.

After starting this scene I was struck by its similarity in some regards to a picture I made acouple of years ago called “The Golden Girl”, so I decided to do a second version based on that image and  you lucky people get 2 for 1!  I’d be very  interested in seeing which you prefer….
