I haved chosen a PBR (physically based render approach) ,using complex index of refraction (real part n and extinction coefficient k). Complex ior can be found on internet for various elements

The file is in .7z  format and contains .blend files for materials.You can use 7zip to unzip the file.

Materials are made using the node editor of blender cycles.

in the images there are some materials,alloys,and nodes.
