No problem if you call me on my name, no need to apologize. :) I am planning to get the video tut from Daz3D by John Haverkamp, 'How to create 3D characters with FaceGen'. Thanks for your reply.

Hi Launok - First, let me apologize for calling you Laura! I didn't have my contacts in when I was replying to you last night. So sorry! Anyways, to be clear the side photographs are not a requirement, just the front face, but the side photographs help with the depth obviously. Also, it helps to have defined jaw and cheek lines in what you're using. Not necessarily a chiseled face but more …

Thank you for letting me know how you have done these. It sounds I need side images also as you stated and maybe that is the problem I run into. I have used only frontal images I got online (no sides available). I have noticed there is a complete tutorial available at Daz3D for FaceGen and should try and invest in that. The manual at FaceGen site is very elementary.

Sorry Laura, I don't.

I used my cell phone and took three photos. One like a passport photo like they recommend, and then one on each side and uploaded the images into FaceGen.

It just worked. ¯\_()_/¯

I only now see your e-mail address. Will e-mail you with a photo of the image. Thanks!

@mjc3D - Michael, thank you for this facial image of you to use. :)

I have the same version of Facegen as you. For some reason it do not work on any image although it is ID photograph size as explained in the manual. I want to use a face of a ventriloquest doll (small image) but when I put the last setting it doesn't convert it. Do you have some tips to share, please?

Regards, Laura
