This car is from the Oz fiction franchise and specifically from the book "The Sclawagons of Oz", by John R. Neill, who is the car's original designer. Of course, in the fiction world of Oz, the car is designed by the Wizard.

While I made the model by referencing Neill's illustrations and descriptions in the book, I took some liberties to make adjustments toward realism. I gave the car glass windows to make high speed flight more comfortable for passengers. The seat backs seemed uncomfortably low, so I added some shoulder and head rests, but made them retractable to preserve the general aesthetic of the car. The wheel wells violate the bottom curve of the hull by flaring out, to accommodate pivoting the wheels for steering. The general shape forced me to work out some ergonomic oddities.

The book specifies that food is served to passengers by means of a dining table that comes out of the walls. I could not figure that one out. So I instead put the table in the ceiling.

Scalawagons don't have headlights in the normal sense. Their eyes emit light. This model has that feature.
