Can't use clothing content Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

I'm sort of new to DAZ and all, but I've got to know if there's something I'm doing wrong.

I've downloaded several pieces of clothing for Genesis 2 male (off of ShareCG), I can see it in my content library pane, but when I try to actually use the content, it tells me a certain file is missing. I look that file up in my content library and it's there, but for some reason DAZ is not registering, basically not allowing me to use any of these cool items. So far, I've had the same problem with all the clothes I've downloaded off of this site...

But no problems with other items. Any ideas? I can see that it's happened to a few others who have downloaded certain items, but it seemed like no one could give them an answer either.

When you get file missing, I have found that the full path is wrong. It may be looking in the (default Daz Content library) C:\Users\username\.... but doesn't tell you that in the message. The message tends to show the path relevant to the top of the content library.

If you right-click on the icon, Browse to file location, and you can edit the file via a text editor you can check the true path in there and compare to the location where you know it to be (and change it as requried - caution with the : or \ characters)

Probably means you've installed it into the wrong place!
