 I am Sergio Gardella from Spain. I work as a teacher in a 3D center in Barcelona and I also have got my own studio. I started with 3ds and later Max but I changed to XSI many years ago.

Recently XSI has changed a lot with its 6th version. The web style is also more agressive. A couple of weeks ago they anounced the "10 Reasons to try XSI". I recommend to watch because it is a nice video explaning the recent improvements to this software. I do not agree a lot with the speaking in this video because it represents a bit as if XSI would be the best...

It's funny how targetted they are against 3ds max. "Is your 3D experience Maxed Out?" asks the banner, and the first words of the video is "If you use 3ds max...". It's actually interesting, because one of the things I like most about Softimage has been their recognition that most modern pipelines use multiple tools for their different strengths, and so they make it easier for XSI to integrate into the multi-package pipeline (with tools like cross-walk). In that context, this "attack" ad is sort of suprising (although it does highlight what's good about XSI pretty well).

Yes, this is what I ment I do not like. In school where I teach we got all the "highend" 3D Softwares and it is preatty hard to keep everyone still and not discriminating about software comparison.

The movie is actually very good explaining all the new things, many are left out, but this attack, as you mention, is out of place.
