Mounting advice for macro newbie please? Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

I'm just starting out into extreme macro. My kit includes D5300, 2 lenses (28mm zoom reverse, 70-300mm Tamron primary), a super mag slider, a couple of flash units and a 15mm rail system to support the lenses.

I have a velbon ex macro table top tripod. The trouble is, I have the weight of all that kit on the head and I don't think it will cope very well. I'd like to shoot vertically down a lot of the time.

Can anyone suggestion that might help me? I have a limited budget so most of the rostrum/copy stands are too pricey for me. Maybe a different tripod or head?

Thanks
