NCSIMUL SOLUTIONS at IMTS 2012: Productivity-Enhancing Simulation Software

SPRING Technologies Inc., the software vendor of the popular NCSIMUL SOLUTIONS dedicated to CNC machine tools and shop floor processes, welcome visitors to IMTS 2012, booth E-3267 to learn more about its productivity-enhancing products. Its comprehensive solutions portfolio  includes:

  • NCSIMUL to simulate and optimize NC programs (machining, drilling, riveting)
  • OPTITOOL that optimizes cutting conditions
  • NCDOC for editing and publication of manufacturing documentation
  • POSTPRO, a library of more than 1,000 NC postprocessors
  • NCSIMUL Player, a dedicated and collaborative tool to view and share NC program simulation throughout the shopfloor

More about the Product Features and Benefits

NCIMUL 8.9 is a comprehensive machine simulation solution for simulating, verifying, optimizing and reviewing machining programs meant for CNC machines (machining, drilling, riveting). Three-dimensional graphics serve to avoid machining crashes while powerful algorithms and embedded process-based know-how enable cutting conditions optimization, and standardization of the shop floor documentation.  NCSIMUL 8.9 verifies NC programs in three steps: investigates and corrects coding errors, simulates to locate and correct motion errors, and validates the part program.  Many customers report that this utility is also a helpful training tool for new employees because the virtual sessions are short, easy to comprehend, and eliminate errors.

OPTITOOL analyzes cutting conditions, dramatically reduces “air cutting”, optimizes feed rates, and allows users to create better cutting strategies. The sum benefits are a reduction in the production cycle times, enhancement of cutting operations, and fast development of new G-code files for future applications.

NCDOC permits users to edit and publish technical documentation quickly, including customizable inspection reports; reference libraries; collaborative production content for customers, staff, and vendors with encapsulated movies.

The POSTPRO solution is one of the most helpful aspects of NCSIMUL SOLUTIONS.  SPRING Technologies has developed more than 1,000 robust posts for all CNC controllers including Fanuc, Siemens, NUM, Heidenhain, Mazak, DMG, Fidia, and others. Our applications engineers have experience with all types of machine tools – linear or rotary axes,  5-axis milling and turning centers, 4-axis EDM machines, and specialized machine tools. Further, the company often creates custom postprocessors based on all of the universal generators that enable interfaces between the main CAD software and the machine tool’s control system.
