AUSTIN, Texas — (BUSINESS WIRE) — January 17, 2013 — MLC CAD Systems, a leading SolidWorks value-added-reseller (VAR) is pleased to announce that our customer, ProEdit, Inc., has been selected to present best practices in using SolidWorks Composer to create assembly manuals for new products during SolidWorks World 2013 in Orlando, Fla. on January 21.
ProEdit, an Atlanta-based firm providing technical writing, instructional design, content development and editing services to a national customer base, was faced with a challenge. Their customer needed user assembly manuals developed in record time, and they needed to be able to input CAD models to create the illustrations.
ProEdit developers, Chris Reynolds and Johnathan Cunningham, turned to SolidWorks VAR MLC CAD Systems for technical advice and demonstration of the capabilities of SolidWorks Composer in their business. They quickly learned that they would be able to directly import CAD files created in many CAD systems and then easily create technical and marketing documentation (including user assembly manuals) in record time.
ProEdit purchased the software and training from MLC CAD Systems, who also provided their team with additional support. ProEdit won the contract and successfully completed the assembly manuals, resulting in another satisfied customer.
ProEdit and MLC CAD Systems have continued to utilize the Composer advantages to streamline production processes, reduce compatibility issues and make changes and design modifications easier, according to ProEdit Marketing Manager Chris Harris. <Click here> to see the Composer Video “Technical Communication in under 90 seconds.”
