GSA EMEA Leadership Council Names New Chair

President of TSMC Europe to Lead Council in New Strategic Direction

SAN JOSE, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — September 5, 2013 — The Global Semiconductor Alliance ( GSA), the voice of the global semiconductor industry, today announced the appointment of Mrs. Maria Marced as the EMEA Leadership Council Chairperson. In her new position, Mrs. Marced will provide advice and counsel to the GSA Board of Directors on the challenges and issues facing the region's semiconductor companies. She will also assist in developing strategies for industry-wide solutions to the most critical challenges.

The EMEA Leadership Council is comprised of leading executives from EMEA companies who advise GSA’s Board on Regional needs and supports GSA’s focus on entrepreneurship. The goals of the Council are to reduce the barriers and improve the probabilities for success of semiconductor companies active in the region.

Mrs. Marced is the President of TSMC Europe BV with responsibility for driving the development, strategy and management of TSMC Europe, Middle East and Africa. Before joining TSMC, Mrs. Marced held Vice President Sales and Marketing positions in NXP Semiconductors, Philips Semiconductor and Intel Semiconductor.
