3DX Industries Acquires Cutting Edge 3D Metal Printing System

BELLINGHAM, WA -- (Marketwired) -- May 05, 2014 -- 3DX Industries Inc. (OTCQB: DDDX): 3DX Industries Inc. (the "Company" or "3DX") is pleased to announce it has acquired its first 3D Metal Printing System to complement its additive manufacturing division. The Company has purchased the M-Flex™ Metal Printing System from The ExOne Company. The ExOne Company ("ExOne") is a global provider of three-dimensional ("3D") printing machines and printed products to industrial customers.

"The addition of the M-Flex metal printing system opens up a world of opportunities for our Company. We are now able to offer 3D metal printing as an alternative to more traditional manufacturing processes, allowing for quicker turnaround times and reduced manufacturing costs on many products," states 3DX President and CEO Roger Janssen. "After spending a considerable amount of time researching the additive manufacturing sector, and reviewing the options available to us for 3D metal printing, we have determined that the M-Flex metal printing system offers the best available metal printing process for our needs. We are pleased to have this state of the art additive metal manufacturing technology available to offer to our clients," comments Mr. Janssen.

3DX's new M-Flex metal printing system from ExOne, uses an additive manufacturing process, otherwise known as three-dimensional printing, or 3DP, which materializes an object -- or mold for an object -- layer by layer out of powdered material, a chemical binder and a digital file(1). The process is also referred to as Binder Jetting Technology. The ability to offer clients the option of manufacturing their products using Binder Jetting Technology provided by the M-Flex metal printing system will not only save on production costs but also will save time on the engineering and evaluation aspects related to new and redesigned product manufacturing. The ability to make immediate changes within a computer aided design file (CAD), and have those changes sent directly to the print floor will change the way companies bring products to market.

Mr. Janssen adds, "It's exciting to be one of the first 'job-shop' precision manufacturers capable of providing its customer base with 3D metal printing and 3D composite printing."

About the Company: 3DX Industries, Inc. is focused on the additive metal manufacturing segment within the manufacturing industry. 3DX has the capability of manufacturing a wide variety of products using its 3D metal printing system, 3D composite printing as well as more traditional methods of precision manufacturing. 3DX offers additive and traditional manufacturing services as well as product design, engineering and assembly services to its customers.
