Arteris Adopts Carbon for Next-Generation Interconnect

ACTON, MA -- (Marketwired) -- May 29, 2014 -- Carbon Design Systems® Inc., the leading supplier of accurate virtual prototype solutions, and Arteris, the inventor and leading supplier of silicon proven commercial network-on-chip (NoC) interconnect intellectual property (IP) solutions, announced today that they have partnered to enable Arteris to use Carbon solutions for internal development and end-customer enablement.

As part of the partnership, Arteris will have access to the full range of Carbon solutions including Carbon Performance Analysis Kits (CPAKs) containing the most advanced SoC processor IP, Carbon SoCDesigner for fast, accurate system modeling and Carbon Model Studio for 100% accurate model creation.

In addition, Arteris customers will be able to create 100% accurate virtual models of Arteris' current and future interconnect offerings at the Carbon IP Exchange web portal. Designers using Arteris IP will also have access to CPAKs featuring Arteris IP in combination with leading IP and software from ARM®, Cadence® and other leading SoC IP and system software vendors.

"Developing the next generation of our industry leading IP gives us the opportunity to the best design methodologies without worry about how we've done things in the past," stated K. Charles Janac, president and CEO of Arteris. "We've seen from our customers that CPAKs enable rapid designer productivity and deliver 100% accurate results. By adopting Carbon CPAKs and other solutions for both our own development as well as customer enablement, we are maximizing the productivity of our design teams as well as our customers'."

"Arteris is a natural partner for Carbon Design Systems," added Rick Lucier, president and CEO at Carbon. "Most of our customers designing leading edge SoC are already using Arteris IP so this partnership is all about making them more productive."
