T3Media and Sony Pictures Entertainment Announce Expanded Technology and Stock Footage Licensing Partnership

DENVER, CO -- (Marketwired) -- Aug 14, 2014 -- T3Media, Inc., the leader in content management, delivery and monetization services for Media & Entertainment companies, announced today an expanded agreement with Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), one of the world's top entertainment studios, to allow T3Media to manage the licensing and distribution of the entire SPE stock footage archive. In addition, T3Media will expand its technology services offering to include enhanced automated metadata creation, additional storage capacity, digital distribution, and use of T3Media's industry leading temporal metadata toolsets.

Starting in September 2014, more than 140,000 clips -- including HD, UHD and full 4K resolution material -- from SPE's high quality stock footage archive will be available for the production community to license via T3Licensing.com. With a direct sales team and a global network of sub distributors, T3Media is ideally positioned to provide access and value for the SPE stock footage archive.

"Building on our eight-year relationship with T3Media, we are excited to have a partner whose solutions enable us to concentrate on our key initiatives -- identifying premium content for the SPE library, enabling access and driving return," said Emmanuelle Borde, Executive Vice President of Sony Pictures Digital Productions. "T3Media's focus on customer service and innovative technologies were key elements in our decision to take the partnership to the next level."

"We are thrilled to grow SPE's licensing business and bring their entire, rich library into our monetization ecosystem," said Frank Cardello, President and COO of T3Media. "SPE is an example of how T3Media can drive exceptional value for our media and entertainment clients from digitization all the way through the monetization and delivery of their high-value content."

As part of the transition, SonyPicturesStockFootage.com will service internal SPE production needs only. Non-SPE clients will be serviced exclusively through T3Licensing.com, eliminating the fragmentation of the SPE library as a whole. "Producers will have an expanded service team in T3Media to expedite all their stock footage licensing needs globally. On the SPE side, we will focus on servicing the internal productions and the strategic curation of our high value content," said Jason Lambert, Executive Director of Content Licensing, SPE. "By shifting our third party licensing to T3Media, we can now take full advantage of their technology platform and expose our collection to a broader client base than ever before."
