Digital-Tutors Releases New Introductory Tutorials for Maya 2016, ZBrush 4R7 and Houdini Fluids

New Courses Are Free for Entire Month of May

OKLAHOMA CITY ( May 6, 2015) –  Digital-Tutors, a Pluralsight company and provider of the world's leading creative e-learning resource, today announced the release of three highly anticipated tutorials for Maya 2016, ZBrush 4R7 and Houdini Fluids. To celebrate, all three tutorials will be  available for free until May 31st, 2015.

Introduction to Maya 2016’s ten hours of training takes a deep look at the powerful 3D animation application, including some of the new features and UI improvements. Upon completion, the viewer will not only have a strong grasp of Maya, but a finished project featuring a spacecraft that has been modeled, textured and animated before its final render.

Users new to ZBrush will find a great intro to the latest version of this extensive sculpting and painting application in  Introduction to ZBrush 4R7. In this tutorial, Digital-Tutors’ lead 3D modeling instructor, Justin Marshall, walks viewers through key features that will enable them to create and manipulate geometry, painting and much more in over four hours of detailed training.

With the new hire of full-time tutor, Jon Moncrief, Houdini fans can expect to see a lot more Houdini training on the site. The renewed focus aims to help artists and studios around the world unleash the possibilities of Houdini and make the application approachable to all. This mandate kicks off with the new  Introduction to Fluid Simulations in Houdini tutorial, which provides an overview of the basic concepts used to create and control fluid simulations, as well as an exploration of particle fluid shelf tools and how networks created by those tools can help artists gain control of their simulations.

"These three tutorials are some of our more popular tutorials every year and important to the continuing training for artists, schools and studios,” said Kyle Green, Digital-Tutors' director of creative content. “New introductory Maya 2016 and ZBursh content will help artists quickly get up to speed on new workflows and features. Our increased attention to Houdini is beyond exciting for the entire company as this will help so many artists make the leap to this robust application."

All three tutorials are available to all subscription Digital-Tutors and Pluralsight members or free to any artist for the month of May when using the  course promotional access page.
