MONTRÉAL, Feb. 25, 2016 — (PRNewswire) —

MONTRÉAL, Feb. 25, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Quebecor Content announced today that it acquired the rights to two gripping drama series from Warner Bros. International Television Distribution: Blindspot and DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Both have racked up phenomenal ratings since their launch.

When it premiered in fall 2015, Blindspot immediately became the most popular new series in the 18-49 and 25-54 demographics in Canada. In the US, it ranked #1 amongst the 18-49 demo and attracted an average of 13.9 million viewers.

On January 21, 2016, DC's Legends of Tomorrow premiered to strong ratings, reaching over 1.9 million viewers on its first Canadian broadcast, ranking #2 amongst the top new winter season series. In the US, the debut of DC's Legends of Tomorrow was The CW network's highest-rated show in its time period amongst Men 18-49 in nearly six years.

"Blindspot and 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' are two new series that are highly original, captivating and full of surprises," commented Yann Paquet, Vice-President, Acquisitions & Partnerships, Quebecor Content. "Their creators have fashioned unique worlds – mysterious in the case of Blindspot, and vividly original in the case of Legends of Tomorrow. We are very excited to be bringing these two new series to Québec viewers."

Blindspot "A Mind Erased.  A Body of Clues."
Right off the bat, Blindspot plunges the audience into a mysterious and intriguing universe. A beautiful woman, with no memories of her past, is found naked in Times Square with her body fully covered in mysterious tattoos. Her discovery sets off a vast and complex mystery that immediately ignites the attention of the FBI, which begins to follow the road map on her body into a larger conspiracy of crime, while bringing her closer to discovering the truth about her identity.

Created by Martin Gero and executive produced by Gero, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Mark Pellington and Marcos Siega, Blindspot is from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.  The hit series stars Jaimie Alexander as Jane Doe, Sullivan Stapleton as FBI agent Kurt Weller, Rob Brown as Agent Edgar Reade, Audrey Esparza as Agent Tasha Zapata, Ashley Johnson as Patterson, Ukweli Roach as Dr. Borden and Marianne Jean-Baptiste as FBI Director Bethany Mayfair.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow "Their Time is Now."
From the executive producers of Arrow and The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow follows the adventures of rogue Time Master Rip Hunter, who – faced with the immortal threat of villain Vandal Savage – takes matters into his own hands and travels 150 years into the past to assemble an unlikely team of heroes and rogues who together will be legends.

Based on the characters from DC Comics and executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, Phil Klemmer, Sarah Schechter and Chris Fedak, DC's Legends of Tomorrow stars Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, and Ciara Renée, with Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller. It is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Both Blindspot and DC's Legends of Tomorrow are distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.

Blindspot and DC Legends will be broadcast by Club illico and TVA Group. Details to be announced at a later date.
