Partnership with Fugro Provides Complete 3D Utility Grid Model for Immediate Operational Savings

RESTON, Va., Jan. 26, 2017 — (PRNewswire) —  Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), a global science and technology company, has announced a multi-year partnership with Fugro, a leading independent provider of geo-intelligence and asset integrity solutions.  Leidos is now the exclusive representative and provider of Fugro's award-winning Roames® solution for utilities and other markets in North America.

Roames® enables owners of geographically distributed assets to model and remotely investigate equipment condition and performance. For electric utilities, the visualization, simulation and analytics capabilities in the Roames® 3D virtual world allow clients to optimize their grid asset investment and maintenance decisions at the enterprise level. Hundreds of thousands of miles of overhead transmission and distribution lines are serviced by Roames® around the world, including significant deployments in Australia, the U.K. and Europe, where it has been demonstrated to provide annual operation and maintenance cost savings of up to 40%.

The cloud-based Roames® solution is transforming asset management by utilizing and fusing several data sources to streamline utility performance and grid picture accuracy. Customers can integrate their enterprise systems with Roames® to extract additional value from existing datasets.
