CHICAGO, IL, May 12, 2017 — ACM SIGGRAPH is now seeking applications for the SIGGRAPH 2020 Conference Chair position. The chosen candidate will take the helm of SIGGRAPH 2020, that year's edition of the world's largest conference on computer graphics and interactive techniques.

One of the most respected venues for the presentation of computer graphics technology, research, and art, SIGGRAPH conferences attract thousands of attendees and are a nexus of groundbreaking advances in both tech and technique. The chair of each SIGGRAPH conference is given a rare opportunity to inspire and lead a highly energized, deeply committed team of volunteers and professionals in delivering an internationally recognized event.

The responsibilities of a chair begin two years before the conference, and continue until the January after its conclusion. In addition to managing the logistics for the event, conference chairs serve in an advisory capacity to the ACM SIGGRAPH organization for both preceding and upcoming conferences as a member of the Conference Advisory Group (CAG).

Conference chairs are visionaries, leaders, and managers. They must have familiarity with the SIGGRAPH conference, demonstrated management ability, and be conversant with computer graphics industry issues.

Though single applications are welcome, SIGGRAPH especially encourages conference co-chair applications, where two individuals apply jointly to lead the conference together.
