US Nonresidential Building Construction Expenditures to Reach $523 Billion in 2021

New structures to be built due to rising consumer and government spending

CLEVELAND, July 26, 2017 — (PRNewswire) —  US nonresidential building construction expenditures are forecast to reach $523 billion in 2021, according to Nonresidential Building Construction: United States, a report recently released by Freedonia Focus Reports. Rising consumer spending will spur businesses to expand and invest in new and improved structures. Rising government revenue will stoke construction of such structures as schools and government offices. The pace of gains is expected to moderate from the faster rebound-fueled growth of the 2012-2016 period, reflecting the extent of the post-recession recovery already achieved.
