48 Arteris IP Engineers Attain ISO 26262 Functional Safety Practitioner Certification by exida

ISO 26262 safety certifications demonstrate continuing investment in state-of-the-art quality and safety processes to serve the automotive semiconductor industry

CAMPBELL, Calif. — February 21, 2018 — Arteris IP, the innovative supplier of silicon-proven commercial system-on-chip (SoC)  interconnect intellectual property (IP), today announced that forty-eight (48) of its engineers have earned the title of  ISO 26262 Functional Safety Practitioner by successfully completing in-person training courses and examinations by exida, an ANSI-accredited certification body that is also an accredited assessor for ISO 26262 compliance.

Arteris IP’s investment in employee training illustrates a commitment to creating a strong safety culture, which is a requirement for ISO 26262 compliance.

To date, more than 85% of Arteris IP R&D engineers have earned the ISO 26262 Functional Safety Practitioner certification by completing 32 hours of in-person instructor-led training and passing a closed-book test. In addition to personnel training and certification, Arteris IP is utilizing the CMMI-DEV quality model, which is an ISO 26262-compliant Quality Management System, and has deployed Jama Software to automate aspects of requirements management and traceability.
