Trimble Launches Trimble Foundation

In Conjunction with International Women's Day, Trimble Foundation Partners with Camfed to Support the Advancement of Females in Africa

SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 8, 2018 — (PRNewswire) — Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) announced today that it has established a non-profit, private foundation to support Trimble's Responsible Corporate Citizen (RCC) and philanthropic efforts—Trimble Foundation.

"Trimble has a rich history of philanthropy, environmental and social stewardship, and in 2017 solidified these activities with the launch of our RCC program. The program also includes policies and initiatives to ensure ethical behavior, supply chain compliance, environmental monitoring, safe working conditions and inclusive work environments for our employees," said Steven Berglund, president and CEO of Trimble. "Trimble's RCC program is crucial to ensuring we remain true to our mission while fulfilling our commitments as a company, an employer and a contributor to society."

Trimble Foundation will be instrumental in supporting causes important to Trimble's customers and employees. Initially, the Foundation is concentrating in two primary areas—female education and empowerment, and disaster relief and recovery.

"On behalf of the Foundation, Trimble Inc. and our more than 9,000 employees worldwide, I am honored to officially announce the launch of Trimble Foundation," said Rob Painter, executive board member of Trimble Foundation and CFO of Trimble. "In addition to the launch, we are also announcing our first global charitable donation, which aligns with Trimble's purpose and work around the world."

Female Education and Empowerment in Developing Economies

Coinciding with International Women's Day, the Trimble Foundation announced a donation to the Campaign for Female Education ( Camfed), an international non-profit organization tackling poverty and inequality by supporting marginalized girls to become educated and empowering young women to step up as change makers in their communities. Trimble Foundation's donation will initially support girls and young women in sub-Saharan Africa, a region where females often have less opportunity, and less hope, than males.

"Trimble and Camfed are both on a mission to transform the world for the better," said Painter. "We are excited to support the organization's educational programs in Africa, which will have positive returns now and for the next generation of females in developing countries."

"We are delighted that Trimble will be supporting Camfed and female education in Africa," said Lucy Lake, CEO of Camfed. "Our work with communities, schools, authorities and the generous support of donor partners like Trimble enables us to unlock the potential of girls and young women, allowing them to step up as leaders of change."

Global Disaster Relief and Recovery

Trimble Foundation's second area of focus is supporting disaster relief and recovery efforts. Trimble has a long history of donating money, time and product to assist with recovery from major disasters. Trimble solutions are applicable to both recovery and rebuilding efforts—from data collection to infrastructure rebuilding, transportation management and agricultural needs. Through the work of the Foundation, Trimble is committed to having a positive and meaningful impact on its communities, especially during times of special need, such as in the event of natural disasters such as hurricanes, floods, earthquakes and wildfires that affect people in the markets that Trimble serves.
