Pittsburgh, PA, November 19, 2020 - RoadBotics and their President and Co-Founder, Ben Schmidt, PhD, recently accepted awards and recognition from Pittsburgh Tech Council and Smart Business Pittsburgh Magazine for the company’s leadership and advanced public infrastructure asset assessment technology.
The Pittsburgh Tech Council’s Tech 50 Awards were held virtually on Thursday, November 12, to honor technology innovation in the Pittsburgh region in nine separate categories. RoadBotics was honored to be nominated in the Data Science category, along with Cognistx, Exchangelodge, Idelic, and VISIMO.
The Smart 50 Awards in Pittsburgh were held by Smart Business Magazine virtually on Thursday, November 19, and identified Schmidt as one of “the top executives of the 50 smartest companies in the Greater Pittsburgh region for their ability to effectively build and lead successful organizations.”

These awards acknowledge RoadBotics’ constant efforts to innovate and improve its products and services. While being known for their automated, objective road assessments using Artificial Intelligence, they have also introduced Individual Distress Identification, HD-PCI ratings, a mapped image inventory product called AgileMapper, as well as options for sidewalk and parking lot assessments and custom mapped routing services during the last year.
