(Heerbrugg, Switzerland, 16 September 2021) Hexagon, a global leader in digital reality solutions, announces sponsoring and exhibiting at INTERGEO 2021 Live+Digital — the world’s leading conference trade fair for geodesy, geoinformation and land management from Sept. 21-23, 2021.
The recently announced Leica BLK ARC and the Leica BLK2FLY — the latest additions to the iconic, award-winning BLK series — will make their first public appearance at the conference. The Leica BLK ARC, an autonomous laser scanning module for robots, integrates with robotic carriers to enable autonomous mobile laser scanning with minimal or no human intervention. The Leica BLK2FLY, the world’s first autonomous flying laser scanner, easily captures building exteriors, structures and environments from the sky, creating 3D point clouds while flying. Featuring the signature speed, portability, and intuitive design of the BLK portfolio, these products are fully autonomous, manifesting Hexagon’s commitment to empowering an autonomous future. The BLK ARC and BLK2FLY connect from the field directly to Hexagon’s cloud-based visualisation platform HxDR, where immediate upload, AI-enabled cloud processing, and storage of the captured data enable instant delivery of a purpose-built smart digital reality to collaborators anywhere.
During Hexagon’s BLK Autonomy Day on September 22, visitors can experience autonomous reality capture live and in real time. Hexagon’s Chief Technology Officer Burkhard Böckem, will show how Hexagon puts data to work when he presents the autonomous systems created by Leica Geosystems BLK and HxDR in his keynote presentation “From Smart Digital Realities towards an Autonomous Future” at 12 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. CEST.
“I have been joining the INTERGEO for 18 years. It is much more than a conference and exhibition; it is an annual highlight,” says Thomas Harring. “It is so great to meet the geospatial community and many new people interested in creating the geospatial future. This year we take you on our journey towards an autonomous and sustainable future. We are delighted to present again so much ground-breaking innovation for many industries in Hanover.”
In celebration of the company anniversary 100 Years Innovation Heerbrugg, this year’s exhibit in Hall 23, Booth 23A.24 features historic products alongside groundbreaking innovations of today. Hexagon experts will provide hands-on demos, present Hexagon technology that improves productivity and creates business opportunities, and introduce solutions that shape and build a better-connected world, in which business, industry and humanity sustainably thrive. Presentations will explore the overarching theme “Towards autonomous solutions and smart digital realities — innovating for the future.”
For those eager to learn more about Hexagon’s digital solutions, but unable to attend the show, Hexagon’s Geosystems division will stream sessions from INTERGEO alongside keynotes by Thomas Harring (President at Hexagon’s Geosystems division), Maria Luthström (Head of Sustainability at Hexagon AB) and Burkhard Böckem (Chief Technology Officer at Hexagon AB) at its virtual event HxGN Live GeoSummit 2021.
